Is this serum safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. It's formulated without exfoliating acids or fragrance, and contains calming ingredients, making it suitable for sensitive skin. Patch test 24 hours before use.

Will this work for my skin tone?
This formula was designed to be effective in all skin tones, especially in melanin-rich skin. Each active is dosed at their effective concentration.

Can I use this with my other actives?
Because the serum doesn't contain acids or retinol, it pairs well with most skincare ingredients. Patch test 24 hours before combining with a new product.

Can I use this with retinol?
Yes.  However, we recommend starting slowly,  using the serum in the morning and alternating nights with your retinol. If you don't have sensitive skin and experience no irritation, you may be able to use both in the same routine. Patch test 24 hours before combining skincare products.

How long until I see results?
A realistic timeline to see results is within 4–6 weeks of consistent morning and evening use.

What is PIH?
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is the dark marks left behind after a breakout heals. It disproportionately affects melanin-rich skin and is different from sun-related dark spots.

Can this help with melasma?
Tranexamic Acid, one of the six actives in this serum, may help improve the appearance of melasma. However, we recommend seeing a dermatologist. Melasma often requires a more tailored approach, sometimes including prescription skincare.

What order should I use this in my routine?
Cleanse first, apply two pumps of serum, then follow with moisturizer. In the morning, always finish with SPF.

Will this cause purging?
Because the formula doesn't contain exfoliating acids, retinol, or azelaic acid, purging is uncommon. Some people may experience a short adjustment period as their skin gets used to any new product. This should typically settle within the first week or two. Burning, tingling, or any other signs of irritation is not normal.
